Self-esteem is an overall opinion of both yourself and your abilities. You may find that your self-esteem can be low or it can be high. If yours is low, then you may find that you doubt yourself more and that you struggle to hold yourself in high regard. Your self-esteem can be lowered for a huge number of reasons, but at the end of the day, it’s more than possible for you to turn it around.
Be Nice to Yourself
The little voice at the back of your mind is far more powerful than you might think. It is so important that you make the effort to be kind to yourself where possible. If you do slip up, then it is vital that you try and challenge those negative thoughts. A good rule that you can follow is for you to try and speak to yourself like you would a friend. If you wouldn’t say it to your friend, then do not say it to yourself. If you can follow this rule, then you will really be able to help yourself in the future.

You do You
The best way for you to lower your self-esteem would be for you to compare yourself to others. Focus on your own goals and achievements and do not look at other people when trying to establish your self-worth. Nobody needs pressure like that, so try and just look at yourself when making comparisons. Look at how far YOU have come, and also look at how much YOU have achieved. If you can do this, then you will surely come out on top.
Move Around and Work Out
Working out or exercise is generally a good way for you to boost your motivation. It is also a very good way for you to build confidence too. Breaking a sweat also cues your body to release a lot of endorphins as well, which are those feel-good hormones. If you got up on time or if you made your breakfast to perfection, then you are certainly winning. Celebrate those smaller victories and try to build your confidence. This will help you to feel way better about yourself.
Work on Yourself
If you feel as though there is one bit of your body that you don’t like, then try and work on this as much as possible. It may be that you try and explore the idea of Invisalign teeth straightening or that you even visit your doctor to talk about your weight. Either way, working on the things that you don’t like about yourself is the best way for you to rocket your self-esteem.
Be a Friend
Being helpful and trying to be considerate to others will boost your mood. It will also make you feel very good about yourself too. If you haven’t done so yet, then try and surround yourself with supportive people. If you can do this, then you will soon find that you can reap the benefits. You can also boost your mental health too.
